The 1199 SEUI is an organization that most health workers in New York are familiar with. While their main purpose is training and employing health workers, they also have other services such as child and daycares, pensions and social services. They were first founded in 1945. As an employee of the organization, you are expected to work hard and have a passion for helping people out, as Donna Rey and many others have discovered. As a case in point, Donna was able to rapidly advance through the organization due to her desire to help out health workers and grow the organization. Donna Rey now works in Human Resources and consults regularly with health workers.
